Starting another Octavia Butler let's gooooooooooo. I'm already liking it, but I will be honest, I do typically avoid any books that deal with slavery. I have little to no interest reading ad nauseam about black pain and suffering. I want to read more black joy etc. That being SAID, since I adore Octavia with all my heart and this books is a classic... I will give this a shot!
